So it's Day 2 and a much needed rest after the intense Swiss Finance Boot Camp as I like to call it. Both Aline and Ray went to work and called me to go out for lunch to the Turkish place where I had my first Flatbread dish.
Next, I explored the stores of the mall while they open (saw cheap prices at Aldi Markt) for the Apfel Scholrel (apple fizzy drink that is amazing) and then explored the subway underground station linking their apartment to the Canadian Embassy there in Berlin. Also found out how the train system works S for state, U for Underground, L for Long distance travel.
Later that night we went out for Japanese Sushi at a hip place on the east side of town and did some sightseeing and had a great time (went to the German version of Costco called Metro to get food for Friday night Sabbath worship)
All in all, it's shaping up to be a great week!
After getting picked up from the Airport by my good friends Aline and Ray we went to the Indian Restaurant
Mirachi for my first restaurant experience on the East side of
Berlin. The food is super-cheap here, like 5 or so Euros for a $20 meal back home in the USA!! Had non-alcoholic beer for the very
first time! I didn't even know it existed :P
This is really great news for a non-alcoholic like myself ... lol.
Next we toured the mall underneath their
apartment and got some amazing Gelato from a nice place; after which we went back home and got some rest
for the upcoming week.
Very excited indeed!!
